ASPEN series is a popular extrafine alpaca blend with merino wool yarn. it is soft and full in touch with elasticity.

In addition to standard Alpaca yarn, there is also a kind of superfine alpaca yarn, which is often used in Topline alpaca yarn. I erroneously initially believed that superfine alpaca was the fiber from a younger alpaca. However, this is not the case. Superfine alpaca refers the inner, softer and airier hair of an Alpaca: a genuinely premium alpaca yarn.

Alpaca fibre is warmer and stronger than wool, and so resistant to saturation that it`s nearly water-repellant. It`s also free of the lanolin that is present in wool, making it hypoallergenic. Lighter shades of the fleece also take dyes beautifully, making it invaluable to our designers when they want to bring a vibrant sweater design to life.
